This Privacy Policy explains how PlanIt (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use useplanit.app.
When you create an account we collect your email address and a password (stored securely and encrypted). When you use the app we store the information you choose to enter, including household member names, dietary requirements, nutritional targets, meal plans, pantry contents, and shopping lists.
We do not collect your full name, address, phone number, or payment card details directly — payments are handled securely by Stripe.
We use your information solely to provide the PlanIt service. Specifically:
Your email address is used to create and manage your account and to contact you about your account if necessary. Your meal planning data is used to generate plans, shopping lists, and nutritional summaries for your household.
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your data with any third party except as described below.
We use Supabase to store your data securely. Supabase is a GDPR-compliant data platform.
We use Stripe to process subscription payments. Stripe handles all payment card data — we never see or store your card details.
We use Vercel to host the application.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of any inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and withdraw consent at any time.

We use only essential cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
PlanIt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
